In the information age, mobile learning came into being as supplement of E-learning. On the one hand, mobile learning can meet the needs of learners to study at any place, at any time, at any way. On the other hand, as propelled by the increasing demands for miniaturization learning resources, it is more convenient to learn ’small chunk of content’ on mobile devices. With the rapid development of information technology and mobile technology, it is easier to implement miniaturization of learning content technically than ever before, and there are a lot of theoretical supports in content design.The smoothly developing of M-learning depends on not only the technology itself but also the well-designed learning resources. Though traditional network learning resources are various, it is inconvenient to use them on the portable mobile terminals due to hardware limitations and so on. Therefore, it is necessary to develop short, interesting and easy-to-use learning resources so that learners can access them through mobile devices anywhere at any time. What is more, learning effect should be ensured.Theoretically, this study firstly analyzes the studies of mobile learning and learning resource by domestic and international researchers. Then the author elaborates the granularity of micro-learning object. The data model of Miniaturization is put forward referring to the the CELTS standards and specifications of mobile learning. In terms of resource design, the author raises that the micro resources should be organized to pledge the integration and systematicness of knowledge learning proposes. In terms of the practices, it designs and develops an Android-based m-learning resource platform. Finally, it concludes and summarizes the research, points out the shortages of this research and prospects the potential research direction.
