Starting from scratch, China’s private higher education is now getting stronger and stronger after thirty years’of development. At present, China’s private education has formed a stable educational system. Private colleges affiliated to universities are an important part of China’s private education. They not only give tens of thousands of students’chances to go colleges and universities, but also train a lot of qualified people for the cause of China’s socialist modernization. However, with the continuous expansion of enrollment of private colleges affiliated to universities, students in these colleges are having many problems in learning behaviors, such as unclear learning objectives, having trouble concentrating in class, incorrect learning attitude, favoring some courses and neglecting others, and constant weariness of studying, etc. If these problems are not promptly identified and resolved, they will inevitably cause some negative effects on the teaching quality and the development of students in private colleges affiliated to universities. Currently, the research on the learning behavior optimization of students in private colleges affiliated to universities is relatively small, messy and unsystematic. Therefore, learning how to further understand the bad learning behaviors of students in private colleges affiliated to universities, analyzing the reasons, and proposing the optimal paths of learning behaviors for students such colleges have certain significance. The author of this paper gives questionnaires to almost two thousand students from different grades and majors in Boya College of Yancheng Institute of Technology, arranges and analyzes the survey data, and proposes the optimized solutions for the learning behaviors of students in private colleges affiliated to universities.This paper consists of four parts:The first part is the introduction, presenting the background and research significance of this paper, as well as literature review, research ideas, research methods and processes, and the originality.The second part is an overview of the leaning behaviors of students in private colleges affiliated to universities. This part first introduces the theories of learning behavior and the literature review home and abroad, and then summarizes students’ bad leaning behaviors from the following four aspects:learning motivation, classroom attention, learning attitude, and the phenomenon of favoring some courses and neglecting others. Moreover, this part also summarizes ways to achieve the learning behaviors proposed by some scholars.The third part deals with the survey results and the analysis of students’ learning behaviors in private colleges affiliated to universities. It gives the survey results of students’learning behaviors and analyzes objective influencing factors such as the ideological and political education, society, family, school and teachers; and subjective factors such as students’level of intelligence, classroom attention, learning motivation, learning attitude, learning strategies and so on.The fourth part is about the measures taken to optimize students’ learning behavior. It proposes the following six ways to optimize students’ learning behavior:strengthening ideological and political education, providing life guidance, carrying out the implementation and organization of teaching activities, offering academic guidance, giving career planning education, cultivating students’ interests, etc.
