Art appreciation education as an important part of the art teaching and effective teachingmethod, it enlightenment and enrich the children’s perception, raise the level of children’spainting expressive ability. At the same time, it is always be neglected because of therestrictions from the attention of art appreciation education and the requirements of aestheticquality. Although there have many researches about art appreciation education at present, theresearch have not got some achievement on the relationship between children’s artappreciation education and children’s painting expression, especially for middle class children.Therefore, the study makes art appreciation education as the breakthrough point, to learn theinfluence of the education to the children’s painting expressive ability, in order to explore howto use appreciation teaching beneficial suitably to promote children’s aesthetic abilitydevelopment,such as aesthetic perception, aesthetic imagination, aesthetic understanding andso on.The study choose experiment as the main research method and observation used in thewhole research process. Select60middle class children in two classes of A kindergarten’s asthe research object in Liaoning province of Dalian, one class randomly selected30children asexperimental class and implement art appreciation teaching; the other class selected30children as comparison class and implement the same subject art teaching. Firstly, doingindependent sample t-test to the two classes children’s pre-test painting expressive ability, thendoing the significance test of difference, finally doing Paired Samples Test to the two classeschildren’s painting expressive pre-post test points.The conclusions of this study show that:1. There have no significant difference betweenthe two classes on the development of children painting expressive ability at pre-test. That ismean the two class children to be homogeneous experimental subject.2.There havesignificant difference between the two teaching methods on the development of children’spainting expressive ability.And there have significant difference between the two children’s onthe three dimensions of color, line, composition3. Experimental class children paintingexpression level is better than the contrast class children painting expression level. Thedevelopment of experimental class children’s painting expressive ability have significantdifferent on the three dimensions after art appreciation teaching; The development ofcomparison class children’s painting expressive ability have significant different on the twodimensions of line and composition except color after art appreciation teaching.3. Middle groupchildren has fine art appreciation ability and can understand the works well on color, line,composition and form elements under the guidance of the teachers and more sensitive tocolor.
