Homework is the basis step of the classroom teaching. It is not only an important channelto students consolidate and consolidate and prepare knowledge and enhance students’ abilitiesof themselves, but also can help teachers’ to know the students’ master of knowledge. So theteacher can arrange the teaching programme reasonably. The quality of homework has directimpact on the teaching effect. The poor quality of homework will has influence the wholeteaching process of the school, and the students cannot finish the learning goals successfully.So, people should pay attention to the homework. Our country has made a series of relevantpolicies about homework, which pointed out to reduce the students’ workload. However, thereform about homework in primary school is still relatively backward. It cannot synchronizewith the curriculum reform. The content of the homework is boring, difficult and it has noconnect with teaching content. The active function of homeworks was neglected thoroughly.As a result, it is particularly important to improve the quality of teaching by solving theproblems that existing in homework and finding out the countermeasures.The reform of homework cannot only become a mere formality. The reform ofhomework must change from the foundation. Teachers should change the concept abouthomework, and they must understand the new connotation totally, carefully and deeply.Teachers should take brand new form of homework instead of the old form. We should findout a better mode that suitable for all the students development of mind and body. In theresearch, I used literature method to accumulate the research materials,and selected300students and10math teachers of high-grade from4primary school as the object ofinvestigation and interview. Connecting with the interview out line and questionnaire to knowthe situation about math homework in high-grade of primary school. Analyzing the reasons ofthe problems and connecting with the teaching theories to find out the feasibility scheme tosolve the problems. Aim at explore the way to optimize the math homework.The paper include six parts. The first part is the foreword. It introduce the background ofthe research, the significance of the research and the theoretical basis briefly. The second partis the summary about the related research results from domestic and overseas. Then making aconnent about these literatures, and made some related concept definition. The third part is theresearch process, including the research methods, the research process and the analysis aboutthe reasons that lead to the problems. The fourth part is analyzing the problems and thereasons about math homework in high-grade of primary school. The fifith part is thecountermeasures about how to improve the math homework of high-grade in primary school. The sixth part is the conclusion.
