As an additional supplement to classroom learning,math extracurricular homework of primary school plays an important role in math teaching.With the advancing of quality education,the concept of education and teaching was updated and "full-time compulsory education mathematics curriculum standards(2011 Edition)" pointed out that teachers should redard the students as the main body,and promote students to actively develop.And mathematics curriculum objectives are expanded to four areas:knowledge and skills,mathematical thinking,problem solving and emotional attitude.However,whether math extracurricular homework of primary school is adapted to mathematics curriculum standards,and there are still some students complaining about homework,or students doing homework with bad habits,little interest and so on.Therefore,There is an urgent need to further optimize the math extracurricular homework.This research aimed to find the current situation of math extracurricular homework of middle grades in primary school,and try to put forward some strategies.Firstly,literature method is used to teased research materials,connecting with the relative learning theories,then all students and mathematics teachers in middle grades of Tianjin c primary school were selected as research objects,then survey the students the current situation in quantity,difficulty,content and forms,as well as the students' habits and feelings during completing the math extracurricular homework.And then they interviewed mathematics teachers to learn more about the current situation of math extracurricular homework design.According to the statistical analysis of the survey results,we found that the the current situation of math extracurricular homework of middle grades in primary school is totaly good,but designing problems of math extracurricular homework in primary school are as follows:design incompletly and emphasis on knowledge;the quantity is biased and difficult to balance;the arrangement is uniform and biased towards ease;the content is single and tend to be exercises;the form is concentrated and rely on written.Finally,according to the problems found in the investigation,this study put forward design strategies of optimizing math extracurricular homework for middle grades mathematics teachers in elementary schools:changing mathematics teaching concepts and establishing comprehensive design concept;strictly controlling the quantity and creating an appropriate coordination mechanism;increasing math extracurricular homework's flexibility and reasonably balancing the difficulty between students;expanding the source of homework content,and enriching the fun of math exercises;supplementing various homework forms and carring out activity homeworks and so on.
