Picture books are one of the most important resources of current Chinese teaching. Fully use of this resource is the basic work of Chinese teaching in primary school especially during the low sections. This paper focus on the discussion of how to use resources from picture books to promote Chinese teaching in parimary school.The new curriculum standard advocates teachers change their education concepts, to explore valuable and new resources of Chinese education. Picture books are good form of storytelling for children, because it is composed of simple words and beautiful pictures, it is very suitable for primary school students reading and learning. Picture books can serve as kinds of resources for Chinese teaching. However, there are many problems in teaching picture books. For example, many teachers can not combine picture books with Chinese teaching, which weaken the teaching effect.This thesis mainly wrote about teaching and reading picture books in and outside of school, trying to find any good methods to achieve the teaching goal. Full-text is divided into four parts, the introduction part summarize the reason of this research and literature review. The second part of this thesis mainly discusses the relationship between picture books and Chinese curriculum resource development. The third part mainly introduces the independent teaching of the picture books, and some demands for teachers. According to the differences of students, design a variety of creative learning; meet the students’ individual differences and diverse learning needs. The forth chapter to draw the effect of parent-child shared-book reading to Chinese teaching. In terms of parent-child shared-book reading, this part advocates in family learning reasonably apply multiple reading strategy, advocating parents play to creative thinking, combined with the characteristics of picture books, designing flexible and varied reading methods with children, fully mobilize the children’s initiative to participate in family reading.Picture books are gifts for children. There are a window of understanding the world for children, where children are able to get pleasure and knowledge, soul nourishing feelings of love and beauty in the world. In the promotion of quality education, the picture books into the language classroom in the elementary level, children grow up in happy, no doubt is a good choice. Bringing resources of picture books into Chinese teaching can not only through diversified teaching designed to help students improve the language ability of listening, speaking, reading and writing, and improve the students’ Chinese accomplishment, also can stimulate the students’ imagination and creativity, promote the development of students’ multiple intelligences, meet the requirements of age diversity to the student, can through the interaction of teaching and learning, teachers and students of the synchronous ascension.
