With the process of China’s urbanization, more and more migrant children follow their parents into the city, studying in the public schools. However, these schools are filled with the urban class’s cultural identity. And it rejects other cultural identities, especially the local cultural identity. The difference between the urban class cultural identity and local cultural identity makes the migrant children hard to get into the school life. The cultural identity difference is connected with the barriers of material. The difference of language, the heterogeneity of the knowledge structure, the indistinction of identification, the insulation of the living surroundings, the shortage of the family cultural capital. Therefore, it’s necessary to find the problem which caused by the cultural identity and solve it in order to let the migrant children enjoy the school life equally. This research mainly adopts qualitative method which is field research. The paper describes the current situation of the migrant children’s school life, cultural identity, family life and family cultural capital. And on this basis the paper is devoted to analyse the reason which caused the cultural identity difference among the different social groups. Meanwhile, the paper discusses how to guide the migrant children to reshape their cultural identity from the aspect of school education, family education, school-based curriculum, personal quality and the household registration system.
