The teaching process itself is dynamically generated. The traditional ideological and political education, which attaches much importance to preinstall but little to generating, much to infusing but little to exploration, much to deduction but little to concluding, much to text books but little to reflection, much to results but little to processes, much to declarative knowledge but little to procedural knowledge, has been restrained from development. The teaching of the subject has been still, rigid and boring for a long time. Such state runs counter to the core of the new curriculum and is no good to the individuality development of each student as well as to the accomplishment of the three-dimensional target of the new curriculum.Generative teaching comes into being during the advancement of the new curriculum. It is aiming at giving full play to the initiative and creativity of both teachers and students during the process of teaching and learning, achieving each student’s personality development, restoring the essence of the dynamic generation of teaching. Ideological and political class, based on the basic principles of Marxism and method education, is a quality-oriented course for the modern socialist citizens. It is ideological, practical and has many other vivid features. The main purpose of this thesis is trying to apply the general principles of generative teaching to the teaching of ideological and political class, to put forward the features of generative and political class teaching considering the nature and functions of the subject, and to analyze the specific ways to carry it out.The key point and operation strategy of generative teaching in this paper is from three stages, including the teaching preparation, implementation and evaluation. In preparation stage, starting form the teaching objective and teaching plan lay a good foundation for the implementation of generative teaching in ideological and political class. In implementation stage is mainly about three key points that is the concept and principle could through a process, logical argumentation and historical narration should be connect, guidance and independent choice must be combine. Effectuate changes in evaluation stage are form the results evaluation to process evaluation, objective evaluation to the consultation evaluation, single evaluation to diversification evaluation.
