Chemistry curriculum standards of the junior school and high school have a strong emphasis on the importance of scientific method and scientific method education. Scientific method education is being widely discussed by many scholars. Some of them have conducted surveys on the present situation of scientific method education. The results show that situation is worried. Teacher is one of the cores of determining the success of curriculum reform. In order to more effectively carry out scientific method education in chemical education in secondary school, we need to do research on that how much secondary chemistry teachers know about scientific method and scientific method education.In the course of the study, literature analysis, questionnaire method, individual interview, focus group interview, text analysis and statistical method are major research methods. The whole research process is divided into five stages. The first phase mainly uses questionnaire method to study the chemistry teachers' self-evaluation of common scientific method; questionnaire method applied in the second phase is mainly used to study chemistry teachers' knowledge of scientific method in the history of chemistry; questionnaire method applied in the third phase is learned to study the chemistry teachers' knowledge of scientific method education; in the fourth and fifth stages, by using of focus group interview and text analysis, we do research on secondary chemistry teachers'knowledge of scientific method and scientific method education.According to the research, we find that chemistry teachers'knowledge of the scientific method and scientific method education can't be satisfied, we should start from the beginning to strengthen the pre-service teachers'knowledge of the scientific method, which should be emphasized in teacher education standard, and how to strengthen the pre-service teachers' knowledge of scientific method and scientific method education should be researched.
