The study is about Children’s family music education. Since the reform and opening up of three decades, various aspects of our society have undergone tremendous changes. In the context of social change, our family music education has undergone tremendous changes. The study applies the method of qualitative study, a family which has two generations that parents and children both has the experiences of studying music is selected as the subject of the case. A thick description of the studying music experiencing of the two generations has been made through conducted in-depth interviews of the two generations of parents, a more comprehensive and in-depth analysis of the change of family music education along with social change and its influencing factors has also been made.Based on the analysis of the original material, the researcher gives a true description of experience of studying music of the two generations in the narrative part. That shows how the family music education of the two generations changes with the social changes.In the part of the analysis, the researcher makes a comparative analysis of the family music education of the two generations, on the base, discusses the factors that affect the practice of children’ family music education from three main aspects: parents, school and social changes.Through the analysis, the researcher put forward suggestions and thanking of the study from family internal conditions and social support system. Refer to family internal conditions, the researcher makes suggestions of establishing the scientific concept of music education and to play the role of themselves in their children’s music education in the family; In terms of social support system, the researcher makes recommendations to the State and get the concern and support of the social, develop music education community in many ways and the media publicity aspect.Finally, the researcher reflects on the study methods, the study of ethical issues and also put forward the prospects of study space of the research.
