School parent-child games refer to the form of sports competition which organized by school, participating of parents and children, held in a certain period, in the organized and planned form. The development of parent-child games not only embodies the educational idea "for all the students", stimulating the students’ interest in physical exercise and improving the students’self-confidence and teamwork ability, also to be a link connecting the communication between parents and school, making family education and school education a common connection, so as to achieve the ideal educational effect.This research starts with the Internet search, counting the primary schools which have conducted parent-child games in Jiangsu province, and to search for101schools’physical education teachers and stratified random sample of11classes’parents as investigation object, carried out by the form of questionnaire by mail and questionnaire given out on the spot, and to make mathematical statistics of the recycled data, referring to the current rules of the schools parent-child games, on the basis of reading a large number of relevant documents, using the logic analysis to make the research.This research is mainly through parent-child game held times and time, organizational form, set of competition events, participating objects and the method of evaluation and reward, from five aspects of survey to understand the present situation of parent-child games in primary school.The findings suggest that schools surveyed,67.9percent of the school insists on more than four times the annual sports parenting and paternity Games penetration has increased year by year.Through the investigation and study to make the conclusion:1.The primary school parent-child games of Jiangsu province reflect "health first","safety first" educational teaching ideas;2.Obvious effective parent-school cooperative consciousness;3.Positive and specific propagandist consciousness;4.Peculiar hold forms.However, the primary school parent-child games of Jiangsu province still exist problems and insufficient:1.Student participation rate is not high;2.Time arrangement is short;3.Set of competition events is fewer;4.Method of evaluation and reward is single; 5.Lack of material conditions;6.Lack necessary guidance to the students and parents.From the parent-child games by PE teacher characteristics, functions, importance, support and satisfaction in five areas, as well as enthusiastic parents and children to participate in sports, games of parenting functions, support, involvement and the extent of the project like five aspects, to investigate the status of knowledge about their parenting Games. The findings suggest that physical education teachers and parents paternity Games positive attitude.In response to these problems, this paper makes following improving suggestions:1. Stick to "people oriented", dedicated to create participant conditions for each student;2.Make an appropriate increase in playing time, and held in a fixed period;3.Increase the proportion of participating and the group events;4. Emphasis on group ranking and to set up a variety of awards;5.Fully develop and utilize different manpower and material resource;6.Set up "safety-first" idea;7.Strength propagandist work in parent-child games.
