The Investigation Of Present Situation Of Childcare Parent-child Communication

Parent-child communication is a special pattern, especially meanings the communication between parents and children. During the communication, they are not only exchanging information, but also feeling, attitude, idea, viewpoint, in order to get trust and form favorable parenthood. This research made a territorial empirical study by using literature, questionnaire, and interview, on the current situation of parent-child communication in young child’s family. In the aim of improving the condition of parent-child communication in young children’s family in Changzhou, there’re also several positive proposals tabled in this paper.The thesis consists of five parts. The introduction presents the purpose of writing, collects and sorts the research results; The second part includes the research contents and main methods and the statistical analysis of the investigation data; The third is an analytical discussion on the basement of the statistical result; and the last part provides a series of strategies and propositions for improving parent-child communication, according to the discussion of the factors of parent-child communication.At last it has pointed out the problems which should be improved urgently and the further research problems in the end of this study.Thus comes the conclusions. Parent-child communication is in good condition as a whole except the act of listening and subjective experience; The children’s age and gender can’t influence parent-child communication; Mother do better than father in the expression of exchange; Mother’s occupation, educational status affects parent-child communication, but father’s won’t; There are great differences between nuclear family and non-nuclear family in all aspects of parent-child communication.We put forward several strategies to improve parent-child communication in various ways according to the analysis of the current situation of parent-child communication. First, we should educate children based on the characteristics of children by establishing bi-directional, interactive and equal parent-child relation to overcome age and gender differences; Secondly, parents should change the educational idea and improve communication skills to reduce occupation, education level gaps; Thirdly, all types of roles in family education is clear.
