In recent years, the high school geography teaching increasingly attachimportance to students’ ability of solving practical problems. Under the background of“the new course standard”, the cooperative learning with the theme of "autonomy,cooperation, explore" gradually into high school class. However, the relatedtheoretical research is not deep enough, the application of every subjects in theclassroom study is less. High school geography is content-rich and comprehensive,using cooperative learning necessary and feasible. In this paper, based on the analysisof the status of its applications, combining teaching practice, puts forward threeteaching mode aiming at different characteristics of three volumes required textbookcontent, namely that "inspired import type","disperse aggregation type","centralizedselection type". And discusses the of strategy improving cooperative learning ingeography teaching at the end of the paper.The contents of this dissertation are as follows:Chapter1The introduction. It mainly elaborates the research background, theresearch significance, the research status at home and abroad, the research ideas andthe research methods.Chapter2for definition and basic theory. To analyze the concept, followingprinciples and features of cooperative learning. And to sort out the related theories ofthis study: Multiple Intelligences Theory, Group Dynamics Theory, SocialInterdependence Theory, Building Socialist Theory and geography related theory.Chapter3Analyzes the status quo. Draw lessons from the successful experienceof the practice of cooperative learning in ChangLe2middle school.And analysis theproblems exist in the high school geography teaching: lack of theoretical guidance,low recognition of teachers, poor preview effect of students and a few sound part ofevaluation mechanism.Chapter4Application Model. In view of the different contents characteristics ofhigh school geography textbook compulsory1, compulsory2and compulsory three,this paper puts forward three teaching model, namely "inspired import type","disperse aggregation type","centralized selection type". And combining withpractical experience, provides examples discussing the teaching process.Chapter5Strategies of Improving the Cooperative Learning Mode. It puts forward the countermeasures from three aspects: forming study groups reasonable,improving preview effect and giving full play to the teachers’ role.Chapter6Conclusion and Discussion. It summarizes the paper content, andanalyzes the shortcomings of the study.
