Research On The Feasibility Of Social Work Intervening In College Students' Ideological And Political Education

With the footsteps of global economic integration quickened, nations which communicate and cooperate with each other increased gradually in lots of fields, which lead to the dramatic changes of our social structure. Under this background, the ideological and political education of college students is facing the new challenges, which embody a concentrated reflection of each aspect of their learning and living. So, it sets forth stricter requirements for our ideological and political education. In face of these new problems, it must advance with the times and bring forth new ideas constantly of our ideological and political education, the need for the development of college students could be satisfied.In China, the essence of college ideological and political education is to serve the students, and help those who foster correct values to achieve socialization and life goals. In the recent internal and international situations, there are many limitations of our ideological and political education come to light, which need to be supplemented and completed by introducing new ideas and methods promptly. In this condition, it must be the best choice to choose social work, which has the same core values "people oriented" with ideological and political education. In addition, it takes "helping people help themselves"、"equality and respect"、"service" as its ultimate concepts of value of social work, and plenty of methods and skills in social work practice can help college ideological and political education workers increase their abilities at work. Therefore, it has a special reference value to rich and complete traditional ideological and political education by recommending social work, which contribute to broaden the visual angle of college ideological and political education, strengthen the power of ideological and political education and promote the stability and harmony of the society.On the basis of collecting documents and materials, and consulting excellent research at home and abroad, guided with the spirit of documents concerned of Chinese Party Central Committee, Taking Shaanxi University of Science and Technology as example, this paper try to introduce the concept of value and methods of social work by means of analyzing the actuality of ideological and political education and looking for the deficiency, in order to supplement and complete the existing system of ideological and political education in Shaanxi University of Science and Technology. This paper contains six chapters to discuss relevant issues about the research subject. The first chapter, expounding the background, significance, status and methods of the study and interpreting some relevant concept; the second chapter, generalizing the status and deficiency of ideological and political education of Shaanxi University of Science and Technology, and demonstrating the inevitability and feasibility of the intervention of social work; the third chapter, exploring the ways to intervene of social work by means of a factual case; the fourth chapter, analyzing the predomination of social work from the angles of strength perspective and concept of value; the fifth chapter, explaining how to use the three methods of social work in the ideological and political education of Shaanxi University of Science and Technology in detail, and raising three assumption can be practiced in soon; the last chapter, summarizing the article.
