Positive psychology emphasizes the positive traits of each individual, and how to make our lives more meaningful.’Positive psychology is a subject of how to live better (Peterson,2005).’University is an important period of individual physical and mental development, the adjustment of college students has been widespread concern in society. Starting from the perspective of positive psychology, this paper studies the relationship of teacher-student relationship, the character strengths and college students adjustment, in order to put forward suggestions for the cultivation of College Students’ character strengths and the improvement of college students’ adjustment.This study choose questionnaire survey method.334college students were assessed to complete the Chinese College Student Adjustment Scale (CCSAS), Chinese Virtues Questionnaire(CVQ-96) and student-teacher Relationship Scale(STRS). The results show that:1, There were significant differences on students in grade, professional, family, one child or not and other aspects of sources. College students from the city in campus life adaptation and self-adaptation of various dimensions were significantly higher than the students in rural areas. One child students in self-adaptation were significantly higher than that of non-child-sharing college students. Art students in self-adaptation were significantly higher than science students. Junior students in career adaptation were significantly higher than freshmen. The senior students in self-adaptation were significantly higher than sophomore students.2, College students’ adjustment had a significant positive correlation with character strengths. college students’ adjustment had a significant positive correlation with the Intimacy of teacher-student relationship.3, In the24advantages, Chinese students have five significant factors:love, gratitude, honest, fairness, teamwork.4, Vitality virtue(from three categories of character strengths) has a significant prediction of college students’ adjustment. Among them, the prediction rate of curiosity reaches as high as41.5%. 5, Character strengths has partly mediating effect between teacher-student relationship and adjustment.
