Intuitive teaching is traditional and important in biological teaching, it can transform the abstract knowledge for intuitive knowledge, help teachers breakthrough the teaching difficulty, improve the teaching quality. With the widespread applyed, many experts and scholars have carried on the research of intuitive teaching, and achievements are remarkable. But these studies mainly focus on the function and importance of intuitive teaching or a certain intuitive teaching method, the analysis about teaching situation in biological classroom and the existing problems are rare. This paper is hope to do some innovative research in these aspects.Standing in a relatively new research perspective, this article is comprehensive and practical. First of all, the theory of intuitive teaching were reviewed, including the development of intuitive teaching in China and abroad, understanding the intuitive teaching, a relatively old and classic way of teaching is how to birth and develop in the previous education activities, educators from all over the world have made a positive contribution for this kind of teaching method. In addition, it is the theoretical basis of intuitive teaching, from the epistemology, psychology and biology discipline characteristic. And then the concept of intuitive teaching, application in the biology teaching and the classification, carried on the summary and analysis to cases of pictures in new textbooks in high school, summed up the characteristics of the biological curriculum. Compared with the old textbooks, pictures in new textbooks have a qualitative leap, new textbooks pay attention to the education of motional attitude, but some shortcomings reflected in be lack of illuminating, inductivity and three-dimensional diagram in pictures, the explain of pictures is not completely, which block the further explore and analysis for students.Due to the intuitive teaching is essential to biological teaching, in today’s biology classroom in middle school, it has been a widely range of application. But the problems in the application is not clear, through the way of questionnaire to a high school student of grade two spot check, after the statistics and data analysis of the collected results of intuitive teaching in biology classroom, the results is relatively successful, but some reasons in some places is needed of improvement. Some positive aspects are reflected in many students consider that although there are numerous medias, traditional blackboard writing which seems backward teaching methods is also important. Students have regular learning of pictures in textbook, and believe that is very important for learning. In biology classroom, teaching model is often used. Some passive aspects are reflected in many teachers are not make full use of the biology course resources in school and demonstrative experiment is also rarely, in biology class, making teaching models by students is very few. Obviously, this school needs to improve in these areas. Finally, based on biology in high school, three typical sections of the intuitive teaching in biology teaching are took, hoping to provide a reference for first-line teachers.
