Intuition, the most precious intelligence of human being, is of great importance in any job, and intuitive thinking has a significance in fostering students’creativity and creational consciousness. In the process of teaching, emphasis should be laid on the value of intuition and the development of students’intuitive thinking. So it is necessary to have a research on the influencing factors of intuition for a better cultivation of students’ intuitive thinking, which has a practical meaning. This paper introduces the meaning of mathematical intuition and analyzes its theoretical foundation and generating mechanism on the basis of existing researches, followed by a questionnaire survey on influencing factors of intuition. Four teaching principles to cultivate students’mathematical intuition are put forward in terms of influencing factors of intuition, and effects of the principles are verified in the last part of this paper. The first part, combined with the research background at home and abroad, tells about the necessities to develop intuitive thinking and the overall researching strategy of this paper. The second part conducts a survey on the current situation of students’mathematical intuitive thinking and gives a comparison of the influencing factors:students’basic mathematical knowledge, students’ability to observe and guess, students’ability to sum up, and students’mathematical aesthetic sense. The third part gives the following strategies:to emphasize on students’basic mathematical knowledge and attach importance to their mathematical intuitive and introspective thinking; to cultivate their ability to guess, sum up and think comprehensively; to develop mathematical aesthetic and students’intuition.Guided by the research above, experiment plans are set to develop students’intuition and related mathematical experiments are conducted in a semester, aimed at the verification of the strategies. Results show that these strategies are of great help in the development of students’intuition in classroom teaching.
