Between Chinese teaching in primary school and in junior school, thereare great differences in the teaching content, teachers and students. Sixthgrade and seven grade belong to the two different stages of education, thegraduation span exists obvious. Adaptability of Chinese teaching mainly existsin the seven grade. To effectively solve the adaptability problem in the sevengrade, is a breakthrough in the junior school language teaching This paperbased on the primary and secondary schools in the Guangzhou area, withseven grade students and language teachers as the investigation object, tostudy the cohesion of the sixth grade and seven grade language teachingcomprehensively, find out the joint point, put forward the methods andstrategies for effective cohesion.During the course of the study, this paper launches from three aspects ofstudents, teachers and teaching materials. Study on the grade seven studentsand teachers mainly with the method of investigation, questionnaire andindividual interview combined.. The investigation into the students is dividedinto four dimensions of learning adaptability, learning psychological, learninghabit and learning method. The investigation into the teachers is divided intofive dimensions of learning adaptability, teaching idea, teaching content,teaching methods and guidance for students. Study on the teaching materialsused comparative analysis, comparing PEP edition Chinese textbook betweenthe sixth grade and seven grade, from two aspects of teaching content andcontent arrangement.This paper tries to put forward the cohesion principles and goals, toprovide a basis for the practical work and further study. Cohesion standardsput forward two: step by step and acceptability. Cohesion goals are put forwardfrom overall goals, reading teaching goals and composition teaching goals..In the countermeasure research, this article put forward countermeasuresfor cohesion from teaching idea, teaching content and teaching method. Theteaching idea discusses from two angles of teachers and students: teachersshould highlight the teaching concept, students should strengthen theawareness of autonomous learning. Teaching content mainly put forwardcountermeasures from the teacher’s point of view, one is to grasp the cohesionof teaching content, the two is the integration of language teaching content.Teaching method discussed how to improve the teaching methodology andlearning methodology.
