Kindergarten education is an important part of basic education. It is thefoundation stage of school education and lifelong education in our country, whilechildren’s language education is an important content of kindergarten education. Butthere is no standard written textbook and authorized committee about this in ourcountry. There are many different kinds of preschool teaching materials on the market,whose quality is uneven. It seriously affected the healthy development of children’seducation.In this paper, on the basis of predecessors’ research, by combing thedevelopment status of children’s language education, analyzing the nationalprogrammatic document of kindergarten education, and taking the preschool textbookpressed in2012by people’s education public press as a prototype, the writer did someresearch on and analyzed the themes of texts, the amount and types of chosen texts,the framework of each copy, the exercises system of each text, the cover designs andthe arrangements of illustrations in texts in the aspects of contents and structures,Which helps to found that early childhood teaching material has the followingcharacteristics: First, the chosen materials are life-like and conform to the children’sreading interest; Second, the framework of each book is reasonable, and accords withthe development of young children; Third, it highlights the comprehensive practice oflanguage and pay attention to the involvement of children’s various senses. In additionto that, children’s language teaching material has yet to be improved in the followingaspects: first, paid much attention to the selection of time, but ignored the excellentcultural heritage inheritance. Second, the attention to the cultivation of children’sreading ability is not enough. Third, the selection of text has variable quality and theconsciousness of great pieces is not strong. And the writer analyzes the causes ofthese problems are as the following: first, the framework document of childhoodeducation early lacks textbook writing advice. Second, the restriction of editors’ education thought. Third, lack of management of quality of children’s languageteaching material.In order to improve the present situation of children’s language teachingmaterial in China, this paper puts forward countermeasures from four aspects: first, onthe writing content, properly introduce some ancient excellent elements to textbooks;Second, under the guidance of activity curriculum, reasonably distribute theproportion of children’s literature genre, Third, optimize the quality of the selectedarticles and enhance the consciousness of high quality teaching material; Fourth,under the supervision of teaching material management, perfect the supervisionsystem, and strict the quality of childhood teaching material.
