The Chinese Text Book published by People’s Education Press(PEP) and Jiangsu Education Press (JEP)are two widely used versions in senior schools. To summarize the similarities and differences between the two versions is helpful for writing instruction and textbook compilation. This article aims to compare differences and summarize similarities of the two versions from the aspects of compiling methods, writing direction, writing training. According to Gu Zhenbiao’s "three systems" theory, the writing part of PEP can be divided into three systems and that of JEP into two systems. This paper just take the first two systems for example to compare the writing direction from the knowledge, theory and content of writing, and the writing training from training type, training methods and training content.At last,based on the comparison, this paper put forwards a few suggestions on using these versions:1) teachers should pay attention to both curicular knowledge and extra-curricular skills, both theory instruction and practice guidance, as well as pre-instruction and post-revision; 2) teachers should lay emphasis on the sequence of writing training to make it more actionable and instructive.
