The factors which influence personal subjective well-being varied, and marriage as one of the most important social relations makes a great contribution to the promotion and optimization of subjective well-being. The change of subjective well-being due to the marriage among men and women in China shows different trends-the former’s improvement of SWB is more obvious than the latter’s, some women even shows a decline of SWB after married. This situation presents some differences between China and the western countries. Utilizing CGSS2010data, this paper applies a variety of statistical methods to verify this situation. It proposes several assumptions under the condition of marital status according to Social Support Theory, Social Capital Theory and Economic Utility Theory. These assumptions are on the grounds of correlative factors including family support, social interaction and personal income regarded as intervening variables. Furthermore, it constructs an influential mechanism between gender and subjective well-being under the condition of marital status of Chinese residents, also makes an explanation to this kind of variance between different genders according to theoretical study and practical research.
