In recent years,subjective well-being has become a hot issue of sociologists,psychologists and Economists,and measuring the benefits brought by the social transformation and the economic development in Russia with subjective well-being of residents is very significant.There are many factors that effects the subjective well-being of residents,in addition to physical factors,social environment also has a big impact,and this factor often is overlooked.Russia under the background of social transformation,social capital has undergone great changes,so the study of the promotion of social capital on subjective well-being of residents is crucial.Based on the special background of Russia's transformation,from the point of view of Economics,this paper makes a systematic analysis of the relationship between social capital and subjective well being and discusses the effect of social capital on the subjective well-being of residents.The data used in this paper are from the four time Russian survey data of the world values survey,and the sample size is 8500 and the time span is from 1990 to 2011.Firstly,this paper explains the theory of the subjective well-being and social capital and explains the influence mechanism between them.Secondly,this paper describes and analyzes the variation trend of the subjective well-being during the transition period of Russia.And from the point of view of trust,the master of social norms and community participation,the paper analyzes the changes of social capital in Russia,and makes a simple statistical analysis of the relationship between them.Finally,this paper uses Ordered Probit model to analyze the relationship between social capital and subjective well-being of residents in the year of 2011.By the method of micro econometric,the conclusions are:(1)There is a significant positive correlation between social norms and subjective well-being.The more accurate social norms are,the level of well-being of Russia residents is higher.(2)Total community participation initiative can significantly improve subjective well-being.But types of communities are different,and the impact on people's subjective well-being is different,sports and entertainment organizations to significantly improve the well-being of the residents,but environmental groups but will significantly lower subjective wellbeing.(3)The overall social trust can promote Russia residents' subjective well-being,trust attitude to most residents can improve the Russian happiness.Above all,Overall social capital has significant positive correlation of subjective well-being of residents.
