With the progresses of the new curriculum, new teaching ideas are constantlybeing recognized. As a science course in high school, high school chemistry ischarged with the task of improving the students’ scientific literacy. As a high schoolcompulsory module,"Chemistry1" is not only a transition of knowledge from juniorschool to senior school, but also a the connecting point to a higher level of chemistryteaching. In view of the problems arising from the teaching practice, in order to allowa gradual teaching in the content, enabling the students to have a go with the flowover, the study is carried out. This study selected students from senior grade one from Jiangcheng No.1Middle School, Pu’er, Yunnan Province as the practice of the study. The location ofthe school is in one of the national-level poverty-stricken counties in the border area. The study mainly includes:1.Describes the main content curriculum standards andrequirements for each chapter of "Chemistry1";2. Research on the processingstrategy of "Chemistry1" to identify existing problems from the perspective ofteachers and students in a bi-directional investigation in Jiangcheng No.1MiddleSchool;3. Adjust teaching sequence to match the students’ thinking mode and theexisting knowledge then let the book play a connecting link between the precedingand the following role. The Survey showed that: when teachers in Jiangcheng No.1Middle School use"Chemistry1" to teach, without forming an overall plan, nor do they take into accountthe corresponding between the student’s existing knowledge and teaching content inthe materials, not to mention the timely adjustments to the teaching content. Thestudents show no improvements in their chemistry thinking and learning ability.Faced with such a teaching background, this article makes some adjustments tothe teaching sequence of “Chemitry1” meanwhile to solve some problem thatfollowing the adjusting, optimizes the teaching structure of “Chemitry1”. A controlclass and an experimental class are chosen to do the appropriate research practices. The conclusion is that it is necessary to optimize the teaching structure of"Chemistry1" aim at the situarion of the students who from border area learn “Chemistry1”. But according to the results of this study is the optimization of themode on students’ academic performance, from the deeper analysis, the method forthe cultivation of students’ thinking there is no obvious effect, so continue to use thetheaching ssequence of “chemistry1” is more reasonable.
