Promoted by the modern educational theory and new curriculum reforms, moreand more educators are recognized that using historical sources is the basic forhistory study and learning. In another words, using historical resources is necessaryfor history teaching in middle school. They can not only inspire interest and cultivatelearning abilities in students, but also cultivate students’ exploration ability,consciousness of innovation and cooperation. So based on the domestic and foreignresearch about history pedagogy and teaching practices, this paper analyzes “TheFull-time Historical Course Standard of the Compulsory Education (2011)”, anddiscusses the reasons and ways to using historical resources in historical teaching,then to increase the effectiveness of junior history education.The paper consists of six parts. Introduction illustrates research backgroundand research situation at home and abroad, on this basis, it introduce the significance,innovation and the methods of the thesis. Chapter one illustrates the basic theoryabout juniors’ history teaching, including historiography theory, education theoryand basic education curriculum reform theory. Chapter two analyzes the juniors’historical cognitive ability, and then illustrates the point of using historical resourcesin teaching. Chapter three illustrates the aim of historical resources teaching, whichincluded knowledge and technique, process and method,emotional attitude and value orientation. And then discusses the process to achievethe aim. Chapter four unifies the teaching practices and the research to summarizesome misunderstanding in using historical resources in teaching, and then makesome suggestions to avoid them. In addition, illustrates that it is both helpful tostudents’ study and teachers’ development with using historical resources in teaching.The last part is conclusions, summarizes the main point of this paper.
