Based on real history teaching,through the method of literature review,this study systematically describes the importance of effects which using historical material,views towards history and historical methods has on history teaching in senior high school.Since views towards history and historical methods appear in history teaching only selectively,the study will put its focus on exploring effective and concrete ways of applying historical material to history teaching process.As for the application of historical methods and views towards history,they will be properly explained by a teaching case named The Revolution of 1911.Besides,questions(like:How to cultivate students'subject quality by using historical material?What can teachers do with historical material before and during a class in order to get an ideal teaching result?)will also be explored deeply in this study.This essay is divided into four parts.Study background part:clarify the essay's topic,give an account of its background and meaning,and state the innovation parts of this study.The first chapter of main passage elaborates types and categories of historical material in history teaching in senior high,explains characteristics and advantages of several common historical materials,and illustrates appearances of different historical material in history teaching.What's more,I re-divide history material,that is:literature category,pictures and cartoons,quantitative and statistical graphs and videos.The second chapter illustrates the meaning of using historical material in history teaching.It is divided into two parts:meaning of using historical material in high school teaching class;its effect on cultivating students' subject quality of history.Subject quality of history includes four aspects:historical material reading,historical material confirmation,historical material elaboration and concept about time and space.The third chapter discusses how teachers use historical material to teach effectively with the curriculum reform.It states related ways of using historical material under two different situations:preparing the class and during the class.There are four aspects of application during the class:design of examination paper,usage of literature resources,construction of students' historical thinking and emotional attitude and value.The fourth chapter talks about some views about history encountered in high school history teaching and application of historical method.By taking the class The Revolution of 1911for example,the question how to put historical material,views about history and historical methods into practice is explored.With historical material,views about history and historical methods related theories combined in examples,this essay takes lots of teaching cases for example.Hope this essay can throw some light on improving history teaching effect and teachers' teaching in high school.
