With the end of China’s cultural revolution, the Chinese teaching in middle school in our country has gradually gone back to normal. Meanwhile, the journals about middle school Chinese have sprang up all over the country, and which are continuing to grow in number. Middle school Chinese journal is the accompaniment of its Chinese teaching and meanwhile produces counteractive effects on Chinese teaching. It has witnessed the historical changes and promoted the development of Chinese teaching in middle school. Middle school Chinese journals focusing on theoretical research in such issues as reading and writing, instruction and training,teaching and learning, curriculum standards and teaching materials, which strive to help the middle school Chinese teaching by scientific theories and practical methods.Writing teaching is an important component in the teaching of Chinese in middle school, and writing is so much often used to measure a student’s proficiency in language literacy. Considering the importance of writing teaching in secondary school,numerous first-class teachers and researchers majoring in Chinese have conducted substantial studies, which have continuously pushed forward the development of writing teaching in secondary school in the past three decades. However, as the researches pile up, more and more problems are popping up in the meantime, which I think, can mostly accounted by the lack of summarization of the previous findings. To promote the efficiency of writing teaching in middle school, it is indispensable for us to write up the achievements in the past 30 years, and sum up the historical changes in writing teaching, thereby calculate its future development trend.It can be seen that writing teaching plays an important role in Chinese teaching in middle school, and the journals on middle school Chinese teaching is an irreplaceable reference for it. Therefore, the middle school Chinese Journals is an necessary source for us to comb the reform history of writing teaching in middle school over the past thirty years, recognize the present situation and forecast future trend.This thesis selects Chinese Learning, the representative of middle school Chinese journals, as the object of study. Chapter one focus on three aspect, which includes the elaboration of the origin and significance of the study, the introduction of the main research methods and summarization of previous research findings, and at the end of the chapter, an detailed presentation about writing teaching columns in Chinese Learning is given. Chapter two divides the writing teaching columns in Chinese Learning into several section according to different historical periods, and an summarization and analysis will be made accordingly. On this basis, this chapter will finally try to find the logical developmental pattern of Chinese writing teaching in secondary school. Chapter three is a thematic part, which chooses each historical period as the starting point, and then a reasonable prediction about the future development of Chinese writing teaching in secondary school will be made. The fourth chapter lays out some phenomenons and reflections aroused during the study,such as the separation between theory research and practice, the discrepancy between teachers’ and students’ writing, the disjunction between junior and senior high school writing teaching and disconnection with outside world, etc.
