With the development of the core accomplishment of history,the teaching of historical materials has become the development trend of history teaching in the 21 st century.Historical materials are the basis of history teaching in middle schools.They are the traces left by human society in the process of historical development and help us understand,explain and reconstruct the historical process.We can't understand and study history without historical materials.In the history of China's social development,every dynasty has had a history of foreign exchanges,which will leave a variety of historical materials.In the past,due to the lack of foreign materials,few people used foreign historical materials in middle school history teaching.With the increasing efforts of opening up to the outside world in recent years,more and more scholars have made research results.With the new archaeological discoveries and the development of information technology,people can find more relevant historical materials from various channels,including foreign libraries and museums.Using these foreign historical materials in the teaching of middle school historical materials can make up for the lack of single historical materials in the teaching of Chinese history.At the same time,through the mutual verification of Chinese and foreign historical materials,students can have a more comprehensive and in-depth understanding of the history of social and economic exchanges between China and foreign countries.Under the guidance of this idea,combined with the relevant theories of history and pedagogy,taking the "Silk Road" as an example,this paper analyzes the problems existing in the current teaching of historical materials in middle schools,and how we can use foreign historical materials to get effective application in the teaching of historical materials.One belt,one road,is to increase the number of foreign historical materials in teaching.This will help middle school students understand the process of economic and cultural exchanges between the Middle East and the West in a more comprehensive and in-depth way,and understand the great significance of the "one belt and one road" initiative and the meaning of the concept of "human destiny community".
