The Beijing’s urbanization development speed is higher than the national average level, in the lead position, the urban population is increasing, and people’s living standards have improved significantly. The city’s infrastructure gradually improved. At the same time, The Beijing’s environmental pollution problems have become increasingly severe. The haze weather has become a hot topic to the residents of Beijing. Explore the causes of haze weather, carbon emissions have a major responsibility, it has been confirmed. With the development of urbanization, Beijing’s energy consumption is growing, carbon emissions increased year by year, Caused serious pollution to Beijing. The development of the city is greatly limited, The contradiction between economic development and environmental protection is becoming increasingly fierce. Therefore, the relationship between urbanization and carbon emissions should be researched, we should actively seek the coordinated relationship between urbanization and environment. So as to promote the sustainable development of the whole city ecological system, It has become one of the key problems, which should be solved at the present stageBased on the qualitative analysis of the relationship between urbanization and carbon emissions from 1980-2012,At the same time, we should also make a quantitative analysis of the relationship between urbanization and carbon emissions. The results show that with the rate of population urbanization changed one unit, the growth rate of carbon emissions change 2.12 units. With the population density rate changes one unit, carbon emissions totally change 1.25 units. Therefore, generally speaking, the level of urbanization has a great impact on the carbon emissions, Changes in population density also has a strong effect on carbon emissions, urbanization and population density showed a positive correlation with the carbon emissions. In response to this situation, according to my own understanding, I give my own views and suggestions to the urbanization and the development of low-carbon cities.
