As an ancient artistic tradition, dance is rooted in the dual needs of both material and spiritual life of our ancestors. Long before the occurrence of oral and written language, ancestors express their feelings and teach basic working skills through intimating. Thus, the embryonic form of dance has become the earliest means of education in the history of civilization. In the 21st century, dance has become an important means of quality education and training for versatile talents. At present college or professional dance education is in a messy state, either copying or simplifying the teaching content of professional dance education. Thus, this research is meaningful, which, from the perspective of General Education and Special Education Theoretical education, makes an comprehensive analysis of the existing problems in dance education of some comprehensive universities, and proposes various measures to improve the existing education system, so as to establish an educational system for dance education in universities. In this paper, a contrastive analysis of dance education of four universities from different regions, in different levels, and of different types is made in order to conclude a general condition of dance education. In view of the inadequacies such as non-diversified training pattern, lack of teachers, lack of educational resources, imperfect of curriculum, weak innovation capabilities, and unemployment, this paper proposes two solutions to promote a healthy development of dance education and deepen reforms of quality education.
