The 21 th century seen unprecedented growth of the Malian population while at the mid of the 20 th century the Malian had an estimated 5 million inhabitants, this number grew to 15 million by the end of the century. This paper tries to summarize what factors related behind this extraordinaire expansion of Mali’s population. It discusses the theoretical framework and the concept influencing factors on population growth, use two statistical regression model the population as dependent variables and socio-economic as independent variable. The analysis indicates social economics factors are main factors affecting strongly Mali’s population growth. Recent declines in mortality in Mali and long trend total fertility rate now make it likely that Malian population growth will come to grow over the course of this century. The rapid population growth in Mali, the mortality decline trend and excess of birth rates together still increases life expectancy, with result in strong young age structure. This research indicates also that social and economic factors, education attainment for girls, access to the contraception, and women presents a significant factor for the levels and trends of Malian total fertility rates.
