Elementary education stage, the initial stage of compulsory education, is the beginning of the basic stage of school education, during which primary-school student’s body and mind development is in the important period in the whole life stage of development, and some aspects are in the critical period. In recent years, with the deepening reform of basic education,both of the penetration and the quality of the education have been greatly improved and made profound progress. However, because for a long time school teaching management, curriculum,teaching methods, teaching evaluation have not been perfect, many problems still exist in elementary education, with "boy crisis" being the prominent one and raising the eyebrows of the academic circles. Although there are several factors leading to the "boy crisis", the school education is the dominant factor. Therefore, to understand the phenomena of “boy crisis” in the elementary education stage, to analyze the educational factor leading to these symptoms, and to explore the methods to deal with these phenomena is the main task and the research train of thought.The article, combing through domestic and foreign related researches and analysis, proposes the definition of “crisis”, “boy crisis” and “boy crisis in primary school”. Referring to the relevant research results and my practical investigation, the conclusion that "boy crisis" phenomena in primary school are mainly the following three aspects: physical decline of boys,worse grades and abilities of boys than girls’ as well as polarization between boys. The causes of school leading to these phenomena include school curriculum, teaching methods, teaching management, teachers group and other factors. Focusing on the causes of problems, the following five aspects are expected to solve the phenomena of “boy crisis” in the primary school: the complement of school-based curriculum, complementation of the various teaching modes, flexible and tolerant school management, optimized teacher group, and diversified education evaluations.Because the stage of primary school is children’ fundamental stage of development, the comprehensive development of the children is quite important. However, current "boy crisis" in primary school not only casts a shadow over the boys’ future but leaves hideous hazards to the national quality which may have the negative influences to the social stabilization and national revitalization and development. So, now we have to confront the ‘boy crisis” in primary school and adopt a series of effective measures for school education to focus on improving education of boys. In addition, we should strive to guide the scientific way of family education. The advancement or establishment of diversified and scientific evaluation system is expected from our country. Effective education network are desired from our active government and society to help the boys in crisis. As advocated, school education should adhere to the student as thecenter and expect to achieve the goal of equality of boys and girls, harmony, health, freedom as well as comprehensive development, from which come our excellent, competitive, responsible and masculine boys.
