The relationship between educational theory and practice is a fundamental problem in the educational research. But the relationship doesn’t walk out away from the predicament yet. On the one hand, the dilemma caused that educational theory discourse might be difficult to accept and comprehend by the education practitioners, and also be hard to provide theoretical guidance for educational practice; on the other hand, educational theorists cannot keep abreast of educational practitioners’ confusion, and lack of practical supports. As a result, educational theory and practice were seriously out of their own line, and brought unavailability and waste of education.In the field of education, the discourse has become a hot spot, and turned to the sociology、anthropology from the literature. The discourse is the speech-act under the certain organizational principles and power in the specific situations. Foucault,Bakhtin, Habermas and other thinkers,have disserted the discourse from their own perspectives and put forward their own discourse theory. Discourse and language, speech are closely linked, but also have important differences.In quality words, the discourse is a cultural phenomenon, reflecting the social status and power relations in a certain social situation.This thesis attempts to use the perspective of discourse to explain the problem between educational theory and practice. I believe that the discourse between educational theory and educational practice is the two mutually independent systems, and lacking of communication. It brings education horizon gap between theory and practice, resulting divorce of the educational theory and practical. So, the path to solve the problem between theory and practice of education is to strengthen the interaction by the educational theory and practice, reaching horizon fusion by the education theorists and practitioners, thus improving the relationship between education theory and practice. Based on this, this article includes the following sections. The first part is the issues raised, mainly on the necessity of the relationship between educational theory and practice from the perspective of discourse. The second part is the interpretation of educational discourse, mainly on the discourse meanings, types, subjects, features of educational theory and practice. The third part is the real natural relationship between education theory discourse and practice discourse, mainly elaborated the discourse power publicity of education theory, lack of practical rationality by the education practitioners and horizon gap between educational theorists and practitioners. The fourth part is ought relations between the educational theory discourse and practice discourse, mainly elaborated the intervention by the educational theorists, being the researchers by education practitioners and horizon fusion based on deepen understanding.
