Objective:To discuss the effect of Seminar Pedagogic in Higher surgical nursing technology teaching of Xinjiang minorities.Method:63students of3-year vocational nursing with period on2012in Aks Vocationl and Technical College were divided into the experimental group and the control group by cluster sampling. From March to June in2014, the experimental group by the combination of Seminar Pedagogic and traditional teaching, the control group used traditional teaching. Two groups of gender, age, source place, GPA last courses, critical thinking ability was no significant difference before the intervention. After the course, evaluation of teaching effect through the surgical nursing skills, GPA courses,critical thinking ability test on two groups of students, the experimental group was issued a questionnaire to review the effect of teaching.End of the course,evaluation of teaching effect through the surgical nursing skills、average scores of semester course、judging thought ability test on the two groups of students, the experimental group issued a questionnaire to review the effect of teaching.Results:(1) The experimental group had higher scores than the control group in the end of operation skills, there were significantly difference (P≤0.05).(2)Comparison of two groups of students to change the semester average score before and after the intervention, the experimental group had significant difference (P≤0.05), the control group had no significant difference (P>0.05).(3) The total scores of critical thinking ability in the experimental group was obviously higher than before’s (P≤0.05),there were7features have statistical significance(P≤0.05).(4) There was no statistical significance in critical thinking ability on control group (P>0.05),There were no statistical significance in6out of7features (P>0.05).(5) The two group had statistical significance in critical thinking ability on before and after the intervention (P≤0.05),there were6features have statistical significance(P≤0.05).(6)After the Seminar Pedagogic, most students reached a agreement on surgical nursing teaching in experimental group.Conclusion:Seminar Pedagogic can effectively improve the critical thinking ability of Uighur nursing students, but also help to master surgical nursing skills. Seminar Pedagogic has a dominant effect on improving the teaching effectiveness and overall ability of Uighur nursing students.
