| The cultivation of historical thinking ability in history teaching in senior high school is toupdate the concept of education, the implementation of quality education, accelerating theobjective requirement of education. Through the cultivation of historical thinking ability, canenable students to correctly understand and use basic stand, viewpoint and method of historicalmaterialism, thinking and summarizing the rule of social historical development, understand andgrasp the process and trend of development in the world, love and inheriting the excellenttraditional culture, set up to make contributions to the motherland modernization, the cause ofhuman peace and progress of the life ideal.This paper takes the idea of new curriculum reform as the support, with the senior highschool history classroom teaching as the carrier, combining the teaching practice and relatededucation teaching theory and its own, has carried on the preliminary exploration of thecultivation of historical thinking ability in history teaching in senior high school, in addition tothe introduction and conclusion, is divided into five parts, the specific contents are as follows:The first part is about the theory of historical thinking ability. This part is developed mainly from improperteaching goal’s design, choice of teaching contents, teaching methods and teaching evaluation.Through the four aspects the problems existing in the cultivation of historical thinking ability areclarified..The third part is on the principles we should follow in cultivation of historical thinkingability in history teaching in senior high school. Combined with the specific cases, the principleof subjectivity, the principle of development, the principle of history, the principle of teachingstudents in accordance with their aptitude, the principle of the unity are well discussed.The fourth part is about the ways and methods of cultivation of historical thinking ability inhistory teaching in senior high school. Based on the actual teaching cases, this part focuses ondesigning targeted teaching aim, using scientific teaching language, selecting proper teachingcontent, using various and flexile teaching methods and the implementation of diversifiedteaching evaluation.The fifth part deals with the lesson study about the development of historical thinking ability in history teaching in senior high school.
