Based on the investigation and classroom observation, this study summarizes the situation of science history in high school biology teaching in the area of Nanjing Four Urban, and puts forward suggestions for the existing problems, so as to better apply the science history to teaching in the future to improve students’ scientific research ability, cultivate students’ scientific spirit and attitude.From this research several problems have been found in the High School biological science history teaching in the area of Nanjing Four Urban. Teacher ignores other values of the history of science when using the biological science teaching and they lack the professional knowledge of the biological science; Not easy to get the resource of biological science; Single teaching form and content. As to those students, their understanding of the value of the biological science is not comprehensive and their active learning consciousness is weak. As for other aspects, we find out that the education system needs to be perfected.Accordingly, the author of this thesis has put forward the following measures to improve the current situation of high school biology science teaching in the area of Nanjing Four Urban. Firstly, teachers should set up and implement the comprehensive three-dimensional teaching target. Secondly, teachers should improve their biological science literacy. Thirdly, they should enrich the teaching content, innovate the teaching mode, Lastly, we should improve school’s evaluation on teaching and teachers’evaluation on students.
