Sport game is one of the important organizational form in primary and secondaryschool physical education. It occupies an important proportion in physical educationteaching, especially in elementary school, which accounted for nearly50%in thewhole teaching. The fact shows that the game has a unique and interesting aspectwhich attracts the children. As the main carrier of primary and middle school sportsteaching, sport game is an indispensable and effective teaching method. In2000, theIAAF commission proposed "the IAAF children interesting track and field gameproject", which aimed at designing a set of interesting track and field events forchildren of7to12years old specially, including the interesting standard track andfield gam equipment, interesting track and field game teaching and training materials,guidance and training of interesting track and field games, interesting track and fieldgame competition, and the establishment of experimental school and demonstrationschool. The project, depending on the child development of psychologicalcharacteristics and physical characteristics, combined with the basic human sportsforms of exercise, such as running, jumping and casting with the help of some simplesports equipment, forms a new game. Compared with the traditional monotonousathletics, these projects injected with more fun and creative ideas on the basis of thetrack and field sport, which let children love these interesting track and field sports.So, this new type of activity is very suitable in elementary school physical education,which is of great significance to the all-round development of primary school studentphysical quality. Currently, Children interesting track and field games are widelyand successfully used in many education institutions in developed countries in Europeand the United States, but in our country, just fully carry out the standard of sports insome experimental school, and the strength to carry out in most elementary school issmall. We can draw lessons from "the IAAF children interesting track and fieldproject", based on the actual situation of each school to design some creativeinteresting track and field event, it is easier to apply to elementary school physicaleducation."The IAAF children interesting track and field project" is like a key, whichprovides a way for the innovation of physical education in our country.The new promulgated "Basic Education Curriculum Reform Outline, shortlyreferred to as" new curriculum reform”, further emphasized the "health first" guidingideology, and put forward six specific goals of curriculum reform, make curriculumreform more specific and more flexible for the implementation of the course. Thenew curriculum reform is based on the characters of students phys ical and mentaldevelopment, care about the students actual needs and focus on the development ofstudents life. Interesting track and fields entertainments fun, competition,practicability and adaptability was deeply loved by the masses of students, which fullyadapt to the requirement of new curriculum reform, therefore, this new learning stylecan be applied to our primary school physical education and health class.In order to further understand the current application of the track and field gamesin physical education and health class of elementary schools, in Li xia district, Jinan. This thesis mainly makes investigation and research from the teaching model ofphysical education teachers, the choice of teaching content, interesting track and fieldgames application in physical education, sports resources and the utilization of sportsequipment with the ways of the literature material law, questionnaire survey method,interview method, mathematical statistics, logic analysis and other methods. Acomprehensive analysis concluding that:(1) Newly carried out qualityimplementation plan of Shandong has just started in2014, have not yet fullyimplemented;(2) the physical education teaching methods used adapt to theelementary students psychological development law;(3) the times of the interestingtrack and field sports in the application of elementary school physical education andhealth class is more, but it is not rich enough, or is relatively single, which can lead tothe low effect of interesting track and field sports in PE class. The utilization rate ofthe venues and equipment is very low, which is also a limited factor for thedevelopment of interesting track and field sports in the primary schools.(4)Interesting track and field meet the basic requirement of new curriculum reform, hasimportant significance to the reform of the elementary school sports teaching;(5) thepropaganda of the interesting track and field game is not enough, not form a goodpromotion atmosphere.
