English Learning is the weakest part of the students learning subjects in the rural primary schools So it is necessary to research the English learning situation of rural primary school students.The study was performed a study of a rural primary school students’ English learning situation, through researching analysising in the 5 parts, English learning motivation, English learning environment, content, the effect of English learning and needs.It’s found: The mainly motivation of the the rural primary students is preparing for the entrance examination. The interest was stimulated by the English learning, and learning is mainly depend on the exercise books. The studying environment is so poor, the studying is made under nobody’s urge and supervision, and it’s lack of the social counseling. The learning content is so difficult for the rural primary students. The effect of listening and reading is good. They are in need of being tutored, hoping to attend the cram school, eagering the diversity homework. In rural primary school, the English learning interest in Grade 3 is the most,Grade 5 is less. The students in Grade 5 is spending the most time in English studying. And the students in Grade 4 is attending tutoring has the most number, the students in Grade 6 don’t like to spend too much time in doing exercises in class.Education suggestions are put forward from this survey:To improve the teaching environment of the rural primary school, to increase the English activities, to create the real situation, to stimulate the learning interest, to desalt the exam-oriented educationTo raise the students’ goods habits by the means of the parent- school cooperating and under the parents’ urge. To improve the homework’s forms and to meet the students’ needs.To strengthen the administrative organ understanding of the first ling teaching.combining the reality of students to choose the suitable teaching material Avoiding the monotony, we should set he different class activities for the different psychological characteristics.
