Abstract/Summary:
The transformation of learning style conforms to the requirements of the new curriculum reform. Independent learning is the goal, also is the end of the modern education. The modern education is more and more inclined to the cultivation of the human capacity and the improvement of the overall quality. To conduct the study is not only an important part of our basic education curriculum reform, but also conforms to the trend of the world education. But there are some problems to be solved in rural middle schools. How to form an effective strategy to solve these problems is the starting point of this thesis. This research mainly uses the literature analysis, interview and questionnaire. Through defining the concept and analyzing the investigation of the students in a rural middle school, this thesis points out the problems. On this basis, the author combines the actual situation of the rural middle school and the practice experience to find out the specific measures to solve the problem.This thesis studies the background and significance of independent learning, which helps to present the idea that independent learning is the urgent need of the society, the individual and the rural education. At the same time, it reviews the development process of independent learning and related theories. Then through the analysis of the survey on a rural middle school, it puts forward related factors that make reflections on the independent learning ability. Standing on the view of the school management, it gives some advice about promoting students’ independent learning ability. The students in rural middle schools have the certain difficulty in independent learning, because of their family environment, learning basis, and the level of school education. However, it is more meaningful to do that in rural schools. Because independent learning is the effective way to improve the rural school education and teaching quality, and it also can promote the professional level of the teachers in the rural schools. Although the teaching management itself may be not have a direct effect on the students’ independent learning, but the school’s goal of education, school-based curriculum, science and material resources and the teachers’ teaching level will indirectly affect the students. In the management, the confirmation of independent learning as an important teaching target, the reconstruction of concept, the inspiration of the motivation, the preparation of teaching plans for independent learning and the opening of the efficient teaching model, to a certain extent, all promote the students’ ability of independent learning.
