With the advent of the Grand Data Era, it has become a necessity that people get into contact with data in their daily lives, as the financial management and the purchases of commodities are dependent on data. Therefore, the analysis and application of data is getting more and more important in the economic cultivation of citizenship. Combined with the New Curriculum Reform’s core concept of boosting the development of individual student and of reviving the Chinese people as a whole, and with the idea of merging student’s real life with scientific world involved in the political thinking courses, the application of statistic graphs to the teaching of Economic Life is conducive not only to the teaching process, but also to the development of the economic cultivation and abilities. Therefore, this subject is research-worthy both theoretically and empirically. However, the previous research on this subject is inadequate, especially in the field of the application of statistic graphs to the teaching.Based on the need for theoretical and empirical research, this paper will first explore the definition of statistic graphs. The analysis of the features of several types of statistic graphs that are applicable to the teaching of Economic Life, not only helping those features to be more effectively used in the actual teaching process, but also making it possible to conclude the function of statistic graphs in the teaching, reflects the value of statistic graphs in teaching of Economic Life. Secondly, through the analysis of statistics and cases, this paper concludes the current usage of statistic graphs in teaching of Economic Life. On one hand, the graphs are commonly and appropriately used in the teaching of Economic Life. On the other hand, the types of graphs used are monotonous and inflexible. Thereby in the end, this paper emphatically analyzes the strategy for using statistic graphs in teaching of Economic Life. In principle, the selection of materials must pay attention to the timeliness and regionalism, the process of materials must stay concise and the application of materials must emphasize on the students’ participation. In addition, this paper proposes the application of conversion of drawing, analysis of pictures, and role-playing as methods of statistic graphs to the specific teaching process.
