The new curriculum put forward higher requirements for high school teachers, just to complete the basic task of teaching is not enough. Under the new curriculum, teachers’ and students’roles changed. Traditional classroom is dominated by teachers and students are only listeners. Under the new curriculum, the teacher’s role is a guider rather than a leader; the students become the main subject. Guiding role of teachers is reflected in setting the scene to stimulate students’ interest in learning, allowing students to participate in the context of autonomous self-learning. This essay will be based on science curriculum standards and teaching materials, taking high school history "create a diplomatic situation" as an example, with the use of group work method reflecting the new curriculum ideas, in order to improve effective teaching.This article is divided into three parts:The first part will talk about "to create a new situation in diplomacy" in the high school history, the value of its teaching content, its position in the unit, and the relationship between compulsory 2,3.The second part is to compare "The diplomacy to create a new situation" in different versions of textbooks, old and new PEP textbook content.The third part is cooperative group learning which is based on the study of curriculum standards, analysis of teaching content. According to the new curriculum, I designed a "create a new situation in diplomacy," teaching case to attain the teaching goal through the new historical lead students in cooperative learning, the process of exploring issues. In the end, this case will enhance students’ professionalism and humanities in history.
