The hearing-impairedstudents are the largest group in the disabled school students, whose success represents thedevelopment of society and the progress of education. It is crucial for the teachers to adoptsuitable teaching methods to enrich their knowledge and to improve their abilities andskills. In recent years, our country advocates "combination" teaching idea in thevocational education, therefore the project teaching method has been vigorously promoted.Based on the literature review, a lot of experts and special-education teachers advocateadopting project teaching method in the teaching of the hearing-impaired studentsaccording to the characteristics of their physical and mental development. But the relatedresearch is not enough and systematic, furthermore, there are many problems in practicalapplication. Therefore, being a professional teacher of the hearing-impaired students inthe professional teaching of project teaching method, the author carried on the systematicresearch from the practitioner’s viewpoint, which was particularly important to form theconcrete practice process and data demonstration. The special education in vocational schools is an important step for hearing-impairedstudents to enter society, teachers there should actively explore in the teaching process andteaching method innovation. Based on previous learning experience, the projects developed byautomatic learning and the active construction of knowledge is consistent with the realprojects carried out in the enterprises. These projects help to stimulate of the studentinterests in learning and enhance the teacher-student, student-student and student-societycommunications, which will make what they’ve learned be in keep with social practice. Tomeet the demands for the teaching reform in class, the thesis takes some research methodslike questionnaire, literature induction, sample analysis and teaching practice and states thedevelopment history of the project teaching method and analyzes the present situation andproblems in its development and implementation process on the basis of knowing thedifferent features of physical and mental development of the deaf students from that of thehealthy students and the specialty of the special education school teachers.
