The sex ratio at birth population of our country has been continued imbalanced and presents a trend of keep rising since the1980s. The balance of men and women is the premise of human sustainable development, the important promise of stable marriage and families and the precondition of development of a harmonious society. The continued imbalance of sex ratio at birth has already been an obovious fact which may bring a series of problems of population, resources, environment and society, and effect the stability and harmony of society, even restrict the development of economy. As the largest province of minority diversity in China, Yunnan Province is located in the southwest region of China with low economic development level and fragile carrying capacity of natural resources. There are52of56minorities in Yunnan Province, among which contains15unique ethnic minorities in Yunnan. According to census information, the sex ratio at birth of Yunnan is107.07,110.57,112.78for the fourth, fifth and sixth demographic census, which are all more than normal value (107). The negative effects of imbalanced sex ratio at birth would affect the healthy development of social economy and construction of population security environment and the social stability of southwest minority nationality area, security of border area and the prosperity overall situation of national common development due to the particularity of economy, social ethnic and geographical conditions of Yunnan Province. This paper adopts analytical method of document literature and statistical data comparison according to summarizing and concluding correlational research of sex ratio at birth domestic and overseas, and makes a comparison of sex ratio at birth of different regions in Yun Nan and unique ethnic minority regions in Yun Nan Province, looks for the changing tendency of sex ratio at birth in Yun Nan, and finds out the reason and countermeasure of on the high side. This paper argues that imbalance of the sex ratio at birth in ethinic autonomous prefectures is better than that of other prefecture-level cities, and factors such as Han nationality, countries and second-children are critical for the rise of the sex ratio at birth of Yunnan Province, and Hani nationality shows most remarkable in the continuous rise of the sex ratio of infants of minority nationalities. And on this basis, this paper comes up with five countermeasures to manage the rise of the sex ratio at birth of Yunnan Province, including developing economics to lower the contribution of sex ratio at birth, improving the interest-oriented mechanism and social security system; respecting the culture of minority nationalities and improve the postion of women to promote the equality of men and women; reinforcing the management of administrative departments and paying more attention to the birth population who have two or more children to lower the contribution of sex ratio at birth of the second-children and third-children population; caring girls and turning the traditional view of birth which has a preference on men to the scientific and cultural marital view.
