Attribution theory of success or failure, which populates in the psychological circles, regards the motivation with a cognitive view, and provides researcher of different areas a theoretical basis at the aspect of seeking and diagnosing the reasons of people’s behavior and correcting behavior. In recent years, the theory has been widely used in the field of education and applied by many scholars to explore students’ reasons about academic success or failure, expecting that through understanding to the characteristic of student’s attribution, they could analyze the internal and external reasons of students’ academic success or failure, which provides a theoretical basis for taking further measure to improve students’ academic. The thesis studies and analyzes pupil’s attribution tendency in their learning process and the condition of sports participation. Finally, the thesis analyzes pupils’ sports learning attribution feature under different situation in the different sports participation degree by comparison.This study, from grade three to grade six, randomly extracts 1 class from every grade of the Northern Jiaotong university affiliated elementary school, a total of 136 pupils in four classes as investigation object, mainly uses the literature method, questionnaire method, interviewing method, mathematical statistics to study pupils’ attribution feature and the degree of sports participation, the result shows that:(1) About pupils’sport learning, it has obvious difference between success and failure attribution structure. (2) In the situation of success, the internal attribution is greater than external attribution; in the situation of failure, the external attribution is greater than internal attribution. (3) It has no significant gender differences in success attribution about pupils’sports learning, while shows differences among grades when failure. (4) There shows grade differences in the situation of success attribution about pupils’sports learning, while shows significant differences in different grades when failure. (5) With the pupils under different degree of sports participation, there has no significant differences about their success attribution. (6) With the pupils under different degree of sports participation, there has significant differences in failure.According to the results of this thesis, the author offers the following suggestions for teachers:(1) Teacher should strengthen the theoretical knowledge learning related to pedagogy and educational psychology. (2) Strengthening the communication with the other subject teachers, especially the class adviser, and mastering the students’basic situation and personal characteristics, those contribute to understand student attribution feature in the process of sports leaning, avoiding attribution bias for students. (3) Taking proper guidance and training to students according to their attribution bias. (4) Arranging reasonable teaching and examination content.
