Research On Risk Assessment Of Large - Scale Sports Events Based On Fuzzy Analytic Hierarchy Process

Large sports events are very essential for the city’s and the country’s development. Although in our daily economic lives, holding large sports events have actually brought rare opportunities for the whole development of our society and economic, large sports events are involved with huge risks because of the large scale of its effect and large numbers of people taking part in, such as some unexpected domestic and international political, economic, social and natural events. If these things happened, it will be disadvantage to run the large sports events. Just because these risks are hard to avoid and predict, the process of running the large sports events is full of possibility of outbreak of the risks. It means a lot to make the risk assessment.The risk assessment studies for large sports events have developed much earlier abroad, which valued the importance of the risk assessment of large sports events. Some even are based on the actual cases to study the risk assessment model, and propose the solutions. In our country, the studies of risk assessment are still in the initial stage, but there are so many research methods emerging. The studies are all concentrated on the sports events which are hold in the stadium.In this paper, I chose the FAHP method to study, and take Xiamen International Marathon, which involves large scale of people and is not hold in the stadium, as example. These notable features make it significant separate from the previous studies. Through risk research, there are risks of flow of people included in the competition.And the weather and the traffic will affect Marathon obviously, because of the involvement of large scale of people in Marathon and the open of competition field. Through studying risk assessment of Xiamen International Marathon, we can learn if FAHP method could be used to study outdoor sports events or not. At the same time, we can make conclusions of Xiamen International Marathon’s risks and propose reasonable recommendations. Firstly, identify the risk factors of Xiamen International Marathon, and then we can establish the hierarchical structure model analysis of risk factors based on the features of the Xiamen International Marathon. In this way, the operator of sports events can prevent the risk, and discuss how to deal with the risk. To use the FAHP method will help to study risk assessment. It means that this method can be used in study of risks of large sports events.
