| The junior middle school stage is an important period of cultivating the students’ interests in learning mathematics.Mathematics is a subject of logical abstractness and applied disciplines, making the learning process is more difficult than other subjects. Especially for most junior middle school students, the feeling of learning mathematics is a task rather than an interest. It is particularly important to foster students’ interests in learning mathematics while simulating their thirst for knowledge, buoying up their enthusiasm and improving the quality of education. This article generally use the method of questionnaire and interview based on the opinions of students from my internship high school. Referring to related documentations the article formulates a set of training strategy of junior high school students to explore their interests in learning mathematics from four aspects-- teaching method, process, contents and assessment. This article starts from mainly from four perspectives: to analyze the interaction between teachers and students before and after class, to analyze from an emotional dimension,to restructure the class dispersion,to improve teaching methods, with the purpose of finding out the factors influencing students’ learning interest. With the tentative adoption of different teaching methods and contents, this has gained certain achievements in practice, as most students got interested in mathematics thus achieving a significant performance in exams.Students’ interests in math has been explored through the practice with the implementation of the new teaching strategy. The new strategy has simulated the enthusiasm of mathematics by the preparation before class, the integration of knowledge in class, the teacher’s attention in and after class, as well as the flexible use of multimedia teaching and information technology in math class which contribute to an obvious improvement in teaching outcome and exam achievement. However, problems exit in practice such as the small data collected, and the less satisfactory results of some well-behaved students so further research is needed. Therefore, we teachers should find a interest-oriented teaching strategies making students love math by considering the factors affecting students learning interests and the characteristics of mathematics at the same time. |
