| Education and psychology are closely linked.In psychology "Pygmalion effect" has attracted people from all walks of life have been proposed since curiosity and concern, especially the education of teachers and scholars hope to effective use in the teaching practice of "Pygmalion effect" on the improvement of students’ learning and self-confidence to produce positive boost.Primary school English learning in students learning English enlightenment stage, and based on this important study underachiever exist in the process of growing.Therefore, using the Pygmalion effect the underachiever English learning is the key to this study.To be able to expand and enrich the teaching practice of English education work activity provides new theoretical and practical basis, as a education workers, we have a responsibility to "Pygmalion effect" to do more in-depth research, for each grade of education workers at different stages of English teaching can better using this effect.In order to promote the confidence of the underachiever English learning and help to improve primary school English learning status quo of the underachiever.This paper mainly adopts case study method, questionnaire survey method, experimental method and interview method, the theory of "Pygmalion effect" and its use in the primary school English underachiever for research.First of all, the connotation of the Pygmalion effect, function and understand the concept of the primary school English underachiever, combines the Pygmalion effect influence on English teaching, provides the analysis of the primary school English underachiever self-confidence and learning attitude.And then through the questionnaire survey to understand the analysis of the factors influencing the students English learning, such as teachers, junior and senior students, teachers treat the underachiever factors analysis, to find a way to draw the underachiever English learning problems. Finally, through the case study method, the four students to use the Pygmalion effect of typical case investigation, analysis and study the Pygmalion effect for primary school English underachiever’s positive impact on learning, and also puts forward ways to influence the present situation of elementary school English underachievers.To provide theoretical support for education workers. |
