Curriculum Learning Evaluation is a key area in the new round of Elementary Education Reform. Tentative Essentials of Elementary Education Curriculum Reform states unequivocally, "the evaluation system should be built up to promote students’development in an all-round way." How to evaluate students’Sports and Health performance scientifically and reasonably so as to make evaluation an efficient means to encourage students learn P.E. knowledge better and participate in sports activities positively, is a problem that demand prompt solution.Authentic Assessment, originating from American Curriculum Evaluation Reform in 1980s, is one of the most influential modern evaluation methods. Authentic Assessment means that students use their knowledge and skills to solve the problems in real life or tasks similar to reality, in which students could develop, show and prove their wisdom and ability by their creative activity. It is an evaluation means to test students’learning effect, which demand students to use what they learn to solve real life problems or meaningful simulative tasks. The idea of Authentic Assessment happens to hold the same view with the evaluation theory proposed during our new round of curriculum reform. It covers the shortage of the traditional evaluation methods to a certain extent. Authentic Assessment proposes that evaluation should be integrated into teaching procedure, during which we could know how well students have learned the knowledge and skills about real life and cultivate their adaptive capacity and creative ability.This research adopts documentary method, questionnaire method, experimental method, and statistical method to make practical exploration on the usage of Authentic Assessment during evaluating sports skills. In daily teaching and learning, the emphasis could be put on some specific motion. But when making a summative evaluation on three goal kick sports skills, more attention should be put on the antagonism and its usage. The evaluation criteria will affect students’striving direction. If we put emphasis on teamwork ability, students will strive for better relevant skills through continuous practice and try to cooperate with each other well in order to get a high score. Thus students’tactics application ability will be improved.This article mainly expounds the necessity and significance of this research as well as the current situation and research methods. Based on previous studies, a through study on theories concerning Authentic Assessment is completed, to lay a good foundation for its practical usage. This part mainly introduces the connotation of Authentic Assessment, and expounds that Authentic Assessment is an authentic multiple evaluation method derived on the basis of constructivism learning theory and multiple intelligence theory. Teaching experimentation proves that Authentic Assessment helps students to grasp and use sports skills, stimulate their interest, arouse their enthusiasm and change their attitude towards learning sports.
