Investigation And Countermeasure Analysis On The Cultivation Of Practical Ability Of Students Majoring In Physical Education In Jiangsu Province

The goal of the students in Physical Education is to be an applied and specialized talent w ith top quality and strong skills.Their ability to practice is a crucial part of their comprehensive a bilities.With the deepening of teaching reform in colleges, we should meet the demands of new-curriculum reform and help promote and implement quality-oriented education.Base on the curre nt situation that the students are lacked ability in practice,it’s important to cultivate this ability so as to lay a foundation for them to find a good future job. Therefore,this paper investigates 260 k ey PE teachers who come from top-rank middle schools and 100 sports colleage teachers who are full time.By methods of literature review, expert interview and questionnaire survey,the paper researc hes and analyses the satisfaction of graduates in PE major,their behavior of practice ability,the fa ctors that restrain the talents cultivation and the cultivation contents of some good PE majors.The research shows that the respondents are not satisfied in some degree with students’ pra ctice ability cultivating in Jiangsu province.At the same time, it reflects these schools has not pai d much attention to it and their graduates cannot meet the requirements of social needs.Those stu dents with good practice ability are better behaved in professional skills,action demonstration,co mmunication,emergency handling and so on.The research demonstrates that there are many problems occurred in the teaching of Jiangs u’s PE major,mainly in teaching concept cultivation goal,curriculum offering,practice time,teach ing methods,appraisal system and so on.Specifically speaking,the problems are the following:th ey do not know the importance of practice;the teaching concept is too old;there is no proper culti vation goals;unresonable curriculum offering;no enough practice time,the negtive act of the guid e teachers ;teaching method is out of date and the appraisal system is not suitable.To solve these problems, we offer the following solutions to improve and develop the pract ce skills of students in PE major.First, improve their understanding and deepen the teaching conc ept. Secondly, clear the cultivation goals.Third,establish a proper curriculum offering. Forth,prov ide more practice chances. Fifth,use scientific teaching methods. Sixth,complete the appraisal sys tem.
