Professional degree graduate education shoulders the important mission of cultivating high-level applied talents for the country.Strengthening and improving the cultivation of practical ability is not only an important content of professional degree graduate education,but also an important index to evaluate the quality of personnel training.Physical education,as one of the fields of professional master’s degree in physical education in China,takes training PE teachers as its main task and attaches importance to the cultivation of practical ability of postgraduates,which is not only an inevitable requirement for improving the quality of professional master’s degree in physical education,but also an inevitable requirement for the reform and development of school physical education in the new era.Therefore,it is of great practical significance to study the training of practical ability of professional degree graduates in the field of physical education.Through various research methods such as literature,questionnaire survey and in-depth interview,this paper studies the practical ability cultivation of postgraduates in the field of physical education teaching from the aspects of practical ability index elements,cultivation status quo,existing problems and promotion paths.The main research results are as follows:1.In terms of the components of practical ability,based on the knowledge of related disciplines of physical education and pedagogy as well as the occupational demands of physical education teachers in the new era,Delphi method was adopted to screen the indicators,and SPSS was used to conduct exploratory factor analysis to verify the practical ability indicators.Finally,it is determined that the practical ability of the postgraduates in the field of physical education includes four dimensions,namely,academic practice,teaching practice,training and competition practice,and class management practice,and 21 indicators.2.From the current situation of the cultivation of practical ability,most training units do not clearly distinguish the subject areas,and only a few personnel training units specifically put forward specific requirements for practical ability in the field of physical education.Due to the different educational system,credit and course setting requirements of different talent training institutions,the time of practice credit,course setting and practice teaching link is also different,with 8 credits as the main part and the time span.Practical courses generally include physical education textbooks and teaching methods,professional skills and other courses;The teaching practice is a combination of in-school practical training and off-campus practice,as well as a combination of scattered practice and concentrated practice.3.The survey found that the self-evaluation of the practical ability of postgraduates in the field of physical education was generally at the lower level of the medium level,and the overall scores of academic practice,teaching practice,training and competition practice and class management practice were between 3.08 and 3.98.However,employers’ requirements for the corresponding abilities range from 4.27 to 4.74(each ability score is 5 points in total).In contrast,there is a certain gap between the current situation of graduate students’ practical ability in the field of physical education teaching and the requirements of practical ability of employers.4.There are mainly the following problems in the process of training the practical ability of postgraduates in the field of physical education: the objective of training the practical ability is not clear,and the requirements are not clear;Training units,instructors and students do not pay attention to the cultivation of practical ability;The length of schooling is relatively short;The content of practical curriculum is not matched;The requirement of teaching practice is not clear;The disconnection between college training and social demand;Lack of safeguards.5.According to the requirements of national policies and the needs of social development,the cultivation path of graduate students’ practical ability in the field of physical education teaching should be improved:1)According to the national policy for the cultivation of sports master specialized degree requirements,practice ability,cultivate unit supervising professor and students should strengthen the importance of practical ability training,practical ability training goal,will have a specific target and the professional ability to demand a quantitative indicators,they can better meet the students’ practical ability training.2)To extend the school length,it is suggested that two-year schools extend the school length to three years,from the academic practice teaching practice training and competition practice and class management practice four dimensions of practice ability training;Increase the proportion of credits of practical courses to highlight the importance of training practical ability;Adjust the content of practice courses and offer targeted courses from the aspects of teachers’ basic skills,professional sports ability and so on.The specific requirements of teaching practice are clarified,the cultivation of all-round practice ability is monitored from the practice before and after practice,and the evaluation is conducted from various aspects to form a mechanism of mutual evaluation between teachers and students.3)The establishment of the policy guarantee system,the formation of the joint training model between universities and society,the interconnection between universities and industries,the close cooperation between the entrance and the exit,and the conformity with the needs of social talent.
