| With the development of the times and improvement of the society, people slow to recognized that Chinese oral communication teaching has a important effect on the harmonious society and the students’ health growth. For the students of primary school, oral communication teaching should develop students’ oral communication awareness and enhance their oral communicative abilities. However, according to the situation found out by the author, the present condition is not optimistic. In order to have some insight into the current situations, the research has been based on substantial literature analysis by means of classroom observations, questionnaires and interviews. The author hopes that it can find out the disadvantages of Chinese oral communication teaching in 5th and 6th graders in three primary schools in Y city and strive to find effective oral communication teaching methods and strategies.The paper is divided into five components. The first part is the introduction, it includes the origin of the problem, the strengths of the research, a brief version of literature review and main research methods. The second part is theory research about oral communication teaching of 5th and 6th graders in elementary school, including connotation, objectives of Chinese curriculum standard, junior school 5th and 6th grades students’ oral communication teaching’s features and the theoretical basis, the importance of oral communication teaching to the student individual development. The third part researches into and analyses current situation in primary schools in Y city and investigates into the teaching goals, material, methods, evaluation means, teaching arrangement, and teachers’self-evaluation. The fourth part is to analyze the causes of problems. The reasons are the traditional education concept of neglect, ignore oral communication curriculums, ignore the instruction evaluation of oral communication and the inadequacy of teachers themselves. The fifth part is improvement recommendations for upper junior school Chinese oral communication teaching. I give some advices:should formulate specific objectives, should complete the textbook compiling, should provide teaching methods, should reform the appraisal mechanism, should strength the teachers’teaching skill. |
